XL Specialized Trailers are built with the finest steel in the industry. We use T-1 steel and 80,000 lb. webs. The steel is cut under water to minimize the deformation from heat. The webs are cut out of the same sheet of steel to gain consistency because not all sheets of steel are the same. The flanges are welded to the webs with submerged arc to hold the heat in a small area to minimize heat deformation.
